Guide to Building the Perfect Wellness Program | HEALTH & MINDSET

The truth is, there is no perfect wellness program. Like we’ve said before in one of our posts, everyone responds differently. We’re not all the same.
Your lifestyle, fitness goals, and the way your mind and body works is different from mine or with others. Thus, what works for me, may not work for you. There is no ‘one size fits all solution’.
However, because everybody is unique, you can also develop a unique wellness program perfect for your body and fitness goals.

Step 1: Know What You Want

Not just what you want, but what you need.
Take time to think about what your mind and body needs. This is the perfect time to reflect on your true fitness goals. Do you want to be fit because you want to look good, or because you want to be healthy?
This is also the perfect time to refine your goals if you already have one. Do you want to tone your abs or your shoulders? Do you want to lessen your carb intake or just want to break your sugar habit?
Most importantly, take this time to get a closer look at what’s stopping you from achieving your goals or from making a positive change in your life. Write all these down and reflect on them.
Because reflecting on what your mind and body needs, and what limits it from reaching the top can help you understand yourself better. The more you reflect about this stuff, the more you have knowledge of yourself. If you are more knowledgeable of yourself, you know what to do next. You know which areas to work on – the better to enable yourself to build the perfect wellness program just for you.

Step 2: Evaluate these Core Elements

Fitness goals are comprised of three core elements: exercise, nutrition, and mind health. Your next step is to evaluate these elements in your life. Are you getting enough of these?
Start with just 3 sessions per week and then gradually work your way up to 6 sessions. Adopt various training styles that will help you reach your goals. Check out our training tips here or visit our store for more help.

We’ve mentioned the importance of sleep numerous times in our blog. Sleep deprivation has a negative effect on your appetite. The less you sleep or rest, the more you will eat. Aim for 7 to 8 hours of sleep per day.

Step 3: Set Your Goals

Now you can set your goals and start working on them.

However, before you start working on them, make sure that your goals are realistic and achievable. Create goals that you can seriously commit to. Remember, the perfect workout routine is the one that you can actually perform and accomplish through and through.
Also, consistency is important in any fitness program. Be consistent with your efforts.
By following these steps, you will surely create the perfect wellness program that can support you to achieve your goals.
